Getting started
A quick orientation to Line20 — what the main areas are and where to begin.
This page gives you a short tour of Line20 so you know where things live before you dive into a specific task.
The main areas
Line20 groups your work into a handful of areas, each reached from the left-hand navigation:
- Sales — the things you sell (your products), your prices and your invoices.
- Purchasing — the things you buy (your supplies) and the bills that come in.
- Production — the things you make (your items), if your business makes as well as sells.
A note on wording
Line20 keeps a few terms deliberately distinct: a product is something you sell, a supply is something you buy, and an item is something you make. They can describe the same physical thing at different points in its life.
Your first steps
- Open Sales and take a look at your products. This is the list everything else builds on.
- When you are ready to bill a customer, follow How to issue an invoice.
- Keep this help centre open in a tab — the search box finds any guide in seconds.
Getting help
If a guide does not answer your question, you can reach the support desk from the (?) menu at the top right of Line20 at any time.
